kodim.net is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information is collected in connection with the SOS SMS application and this website, how it is used, and who it is shared with.
kodim.net is a sole proprietorship based in the Province of Quebec, Canada. This policy is governed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Quebec provincial privacy legislation, including Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).
All application configuration data — including your display name, saved contacts, preset situations, and GPS settings — is stored exclusively on your device. This data is never transmitted to any server operated by kodim.net.
The app requests access to SMS sending capabilities and device location (GPS) solely to perform its core function. This data is used locally on your device and is never transmitted to kodim.net or any third party.
GPS coordinates and message content are transmitted directly from your device to recipients you designate, via your carrier's network or any other external messaging channel of your choice. kodim.net has no access to, and does not process or store, this information.
During the 14-day free trial period, no personally identifiable information is transmitted to external servers by kodim.net. Only an anonymous technical device identifier is recorded on Cloudflare infrastructure to document acceptance of the Terms of Use and manage the trial period. This is the same device identifier described in Section 4.
Purchasing a SOS SMS lifetime license involves a chain of independent third-party sub-processors. The following data is collected and processed:

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and Canada. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts of Quebec shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
kodim.net reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. In the event of a material change, users will be notified through the application or this website.
