In the event of any discrepancy between the terms below and the ones presented within the application, the terms within the app shall prevail.
SOS SMS is a tool for composing and transmitting alert messages. It assembles a structured message containing your personal information, GPS coordinates, battery level, and selected situations, then delegates sending to your device's existing infrastructure (native SMS application, carrier network, satellite or mobile connection). The term SOS refers here to a communication signal, and not a guarantee of intervention or rescue.
SOS SMS is designed for low- to moderate-risk situations. It does not replace certified emergency services (911, emergency medical services, coast guard, or any other emergency service in your region), nor any certified safety device.
kodim.net is not a health professional, rescue service, or first responder, and has no affiliation with any such organization. SOS SMS is not a psychological, medical, or crisis intervention support service. If you are experiencing physical, mental, or emotional distress, please contact a qualified health professional or the emergency service appropriate to your situation.
Message transmission depends entirely on factors beyond kodim.net's control, including:
kodim.net does not guarantee message delivery, GPS coordinate accuracy, or transmission speed. Actual delivery is the exclusive responsibility of the third-party infrastructure used.
GPS coordinate accuracy depends on signal acquisition conditions and may vary significantly depending on the environment, particularly in dense urban areas, forests, or during a cold start of the GPS receiver. kodim.net cannot be held responsible for any location inaccuracy included in a message.
The SOS SMS activation process relies on a chain of independent third-party services (Stripe, Cloudflare, Resend). kodim.net cannot be held responsible for interruptions, delays, or failures occurring within these infrastructures, including but not limited to: failure to deliver a license email, temporary server unavailability, or a processing error occurring after payment confirmation.
If you do not receive your license following your purchase, please contact support@kodim.net indicating the email address used at the time of purchase and your Stripe payment confirmation. kodim.net commits to processing your request as soon as possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of kodim.net is expressly limited to the amount effectively paid for the license. In the case of use during the free trial period, access to the software itself constitutes the consideration for acceptance of these terms, and kodim.net's liability is limited to the same extent.
Under no circumstances shall kodim.net be liable for indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to: data loss, bodily injury, death, emotional distress, or any loss arising from inability to use the application or failure to deliver a message.
You are solely responsible for your safety, your emergency preparedness, and your decision to use SOS SMS in any given situation. Using this application does not relieve you of the responsibility to contact emergency services directly by any available means.
SOS SMS must not be used as the sole means of communication in an emergency situation.
Use of SOS SMS presupposes that you are in a sufficiently lucid state to understand how the application works, assess the situation, and make informed decisions regarding its use.
By accepting these terms, you acknowledge that you will use SOS SMS solely as a supplementary communication tool, and not as a substitute for a personal safety plan, certified rescue equipment, or official emergency services.
Use of the Advanced Messaging feature (sharing via WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.) does not contact emergency services and is not recommended for situations involving significant risk.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and Canada. In the event of a dispute, the competent courts of Quebec shall have exclusive jurisdiction, and the parties irrevocably submit to such jurisdiction.
If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable in the user's jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. kodim.net makes no representation that this application complies with the laws of any jurisdiction other than Quebec and Canada.
These terms apply from the first launch of SOS SMS, whether the application is used during the 14-day free trial period or under a paid license.
Upon expiration of the trial period, access to features may be restricted. kodim.net cannot be held responsible for any interruption of access occurring upon expiration of the trial period. If you need to access the application after the trial has expired, a unique 24-hour temporary unlock is available in the About screen.
If you do not accept these terms, or cease to agree with them at any time, you must immediately stop using SOS SMS and uninstall the application.
A full refund is available upon request within 14 days of the date of purchase, by contacting support@kodim.net and indicating the email address used at the time of purchase. Refunds are processed as soon as possible, subject to Stripe's processing timelines.
kodim.net reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. In the event of a material change, a new consent screen will be presented to the user before any access to the application.
Future updates and new versions are not guaranteed. Ongoing development depends on user adoption and project viability.
